Why choose a Scottish Shore Excursion with Clyde Coast Tourism?

Choosing a cruise in Scotland is an experience you will never forget. Firstly you get to visit some of the country’s most spectacular scenery and visitor attractions. See the big cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh and lap up scenic delights such as Loch Lomond and Loch Ness whilst maybe stopping at a distillery or 2. Feel the hair stand on the back of your neck by standing in the footsteps of your ancestors at Skara Brae on Orkney and William Wallace and others at Stirling Castle. You will instantly fall in love and you will be left with a piece of Scotland in your heart forever.

We organise excursions from Greenock and Edinburgh ports however we can help find an excursion elsewhere in the country too with some of our preferred suppliers. Quality of service is so important to us, afterall you receive a first class experience on the ship, why should you expect any less once you disembark? We are very proud of our 4 star rating with the Scottish Tourist Board and so far, we have received 100% excellent TripAdvisor reviews. We take the opinions of our patrons very seriously and we use this feedback to continually improve our levels of service.

We have a variety of set tour itineraries for groups up to 20 people, which include stops at some of the top attractions. We have organised our itineraries based on ship time tables and comfort breaks. Our routes are tried and tested and we take pride in the fact that we will always bring you back to your ship in plenty time before it leaves.

Some of our trips include destinations such as Glasgow and Loch Lomond from Greenock Port and Edinburgh and Rosslyn Chapel from Edinburgh ports. If you would like to stretch your sea legs you can join us on one of our walking tours. We have constructed them based on a moderate level of fitness and they will ensure a day of fun, history and breathtaking scenery.

We also provide bespoke itineraries so if you have something in mind, we can assist with your request and also advise on your itinerary. Again we can serve groups up to 20 people at any one time

Little Perks

All our passengers receive not only the attention of a knowledgeable guide who will ensure you have a great time, but also water, snacks and complimentary single malt whisky for our legendary toast. If that wasn’t enough, every guest receives a favour bag as a memento of your time with us.

Just for kids.

Cruising is fast becoming a family holiday, so if you are travelling with children, why should that stop you seeing the sights. We cater to children and provide complimentary kids activity packs to keep your little ones entertained throughout the day. We also have snacks and plenty of water on board to take the stress of keeping their food cravings at bay.

One of our Cruise Ship Testimonials

By Michael Gross (and Jennifer Rapaport)

This is a beautiful hike along the "cut." The Cut is a handmade canal built over years in the early 1800's to bring fresh water to the booming industrial revolution's newly invented steam-powered factories on the coast around Greenock. Catriona Stevenson was our guide. She was delightful, very helpful and extremely knowledgeable.

We took a "short" version of the hike, but that was well over 4 hours at a medium pace. Scottish weather is variable so take layers including rain gear. Trail shoes or hiking shoes help on the gravel and small rocks. Don't go without good foot gear. There were many groups of hikers, some older but faster, along the way. The canal goes on for miles. It is amazing that the project was done with pick and shovel. Stone bridges still survive. Many of the gates appear to be functioning. The air was fresh. The heather was blooming. Views down to the city, the River Clyde and the highlands beyond were splendid.
