Duration: 8 hours


Group: £65 per adult, £60 per concession and £40 per child. This price includes guided transport, bottled water and snacks. It excludes entrance fees and meals.

Why Choose this Tour:

Visit the Scottish Capital City and its famous sites such as Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Yacht Britannia and The infamous Edinburgh Vaults in the bowels of the city.

*Elements of this tour are unsuitable for children and those with mobility problems.  Please also note that during cruise days, Edinburgh Castle is very busy and queues to see some of the sights inside is expected.


Edinburgh Castle


9am - Pick Up from Edinburgh Port.

9.30am - Edinburgh Castle 1 hour and a half

11am - Take a guided walk of the Greyfriars Kirk and Graveyard which will inspire both history enthusiasts and Harry Potter Fans alike.

12 pm - 1 hour and a half free time on the Royal Mile to enjoy lunch or some shopping. There is also the St Giles Cathedral here should you wish to visit.

13:30 - Make way to Royal Yacht Britannia stopping at Calton Hill with fantastic views of Edinburgh. (There are quite some stairs here to contend with, and those that do not wish to walk to the viewpoint are welcome to stay on the bus.)

14:45 - Arrive at Royal Yacht Britannia and have lunch and tour. (1 hour)

16:45 - Return for cruise ship.

The 16 seater coach travel is provided by a 3rd party and Clyde Coast Tourism is responsible for small groups up to 4. Clyde Coast Tourism Ltd cannot take any responsibility for the coach travel provided by the 3rd party and their terms and conditions apply.

We cannot accept responsibility for conditions which are outside our control, e.g. the weather, the closure of visitor attractions etc. We reserve the right to alter or cancel our tour itineraries where necessary due to weather conditions, road closures, etc.


Entry to attractions mentioned in itinerary are included.


We not not include meals or entrance outside the itinerary however we can assist in a cost effective solution for your entrance for your whole trip.

  • Currency in Scotland: British Pound (£)
  • Weather: We have quite a wet and mild climate so it is always advisable to bring a rain jacket or umbrella. Suitable footwear is also advisable, nobody wants wet socks :-)
  • Temperature: Average summer temperature is 19°C / 66.2 F
  • Gratutities: It is not complusary to tip in Scotland, however if you feel that the service was deserving, the going rate is 10%. This is not set in stone either but it can assist you in what you wish to contribute.
